Our food choices can greatly affect the health of our skin. For example, consuming sugary drinks or foods with a high glycemic index can worsen inflammation throughout the body, leading to skin conditions. A healthy diet can be one of the most powerful treatments for skin health. This concept is not new at all, but it seems to have been forget in the era of modern medicine. Adopting an anti-inflammatory diet means including foods that reduce inflammation and/or do not induce inflammatory response on the body. We want to share a simple autumn recipe with ingredients rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to strengthen the skin's barrier and protect it from damage. Ingredients: Pumpkin, fennel, fresh ginger, leek, olive oil, ginger powder, turmeric powder, coconut milk, salt, pepper. Recipe: Heat the olive oil in a large pan with the spices for 1 minute. Add the pumpkin, fennel and leek, cut into chunks. Cook for 2/3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add 2 glasses of water and 1 of coconut milk. Turn heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Blend until creamy and smooth.
